Peace Camp is a two-week day camp (Monday-Friday) for the children in the neighborhood around Divine Redeemer. Knowing that the majority of the children in the area have limited structured activities in the summer, the day camp includes meals, Bible study, and worship, recreational activities, trips to the pool and a weekly cookout at the Guadalupe River. Peace Camp offers an opportunity for the children of Peace Pals to grow closer to God and to each other.
Volunteers will be asked to serve as counselors with age groups 5 years old- 12 years old. Groups are broken up by grade levels: kinder-1st, 2nd and 3rd, 4th and 5th, and finally middle schoolers are Leaders-In-Training that assist as future junior counselors. Volunteer and staff training will take place on June 12th- 14th (times and additional information to follow). We need volunteers who can serve either full or half-day shifts on the majority of the days.
