The Fayetteville Public Schools’ Seed to Student  program is looking for volunteers to host monthly Harvest of the Month taste tests this spring semester. Each month, a different seasonally available food gets the spotlight in cafeteria posters, recipe cards to send home to parents, and cafeteria taste tests during lunch.

Volunteer Opportunity Details (Jan-May 2017)


·         Host will serve samples and help students vote during lunch time. Option to do the preparation of samples in school kitchen if interested and available

·         Each host completes 4 tastings/ month within the first 2-3 weeks of the month

·         Time commitment: 1.5-2.5 hours per tasting, depending on lunch schedule

·         Volunteer orientation: beginning of January 2017

Requirements

·         undergraduate or grad student

·         Available two days a week (your choice) during the first 2-3 weeks of each month

·         Time commitment: 1.5-2.5 hours per tasting, depending on lunch schedule

·         Own a reliable car that has room for the taste test station. Compact cars are fine
