Project Read Literacy Lab gives adult literacy students the opportunity to practice and apply literacy skills. Lab Volunteers assist the literacy specialist, participate in group discussions and activities and help students one-on-one as needed. Volunteers should commit to at least one lab session (1.5 hours) per month. Labs take place in the Project Read office and are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the afternoon, 1-2:30 pm, and the evening 6-7:30 pm, and on Saturday, 10-11:30 am. Volunteers can choose the session that is most convenient for them.
