2020 Fellowship- Hadiyah Page

Open Opportunity

Positions1 Remaining
Hadiyah Page, University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health
Hadiyah is addressing childhood trauma in Birmingham by introducing trauma-focused art therapy to adolescent boys and girls from the local community. As Birmingham works to reduce its rates of gun violence, many neighborhoods and communities lack the resources to recover from the trauma that has already been endured. Ultimately, the program will aim to reestablish self-efficacy and -awareness within youth and help them understand how to turn their trauma into triumph
