Lita Waggoner, The University of Alabama School of Law
Waggoner is addressing the unmet civil legal needs of low-income individuals in west Alabama by establishing legal help desks at rural health clinics. In addition to increasing the number of people Legal Services serves in Alabama’s Black Belt, the program will build Legal Services Alabama’s capacity by enlisting law students at The University of Alabama School of Law to assist with the cases.
