LOOKING FOR COMMITTED VOLUNTEERS!
Interested in volunteering or being a lab leader
for an on-site after-school STEM Scouts Lab?
As part of the Boy Scouts of America, STEM Scouts lab provides
engaging hands-on and project-based STEM lessons for youth,
currently in Elementary or Middle School, in the areas of
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Lab leaders lead the after-school lab meetings and a minimum of
two leaders is required to start a lab on-site. Lab volunteers
assist lab leaders in leading the after-school lab. All training,
materials, and lessons are provided to lab leaders and volunteers.
You don’t need a STEM or education background to start a
STEM Scouts lab and the time commitment to lead one is
approximately 3.5 hours per week for 14-26 weeks.
Get ready to strengthen community ties, facilitate STEM engagement,
and prepare youth in your community for a successful future!
