About

The Blackburn Center's Red Sand Project is an artwork installation created by the community through pouring red sand into pavement cracks. The grains of red sand represent the millions of men, women, and children who often fall through the cracks, and are exploited daily for commercial sex or forced labor. This creates opportunities for people to question, connect, and take action against human trafficking. We are hoping to have volunteer help us to pour sand at our Greensburg locations. We are hoping to start at Saint Clair Park to pour sand along the main side walk and then will move as a group to the courthouse to pour sand around the permitted locations. We may also pour sand if permitted at the bridge next to the museum after the park is completed.
