Align Mentoring is the center of New Ballet Ensemble and School's creative youth development. This is our initiative to support our students professionally, academically and personally.

As a member of the Memphis Grizzlies Foundation TEAM UP Youth Mentoring Partnership New Ballet provides support to our students through mentoring.

Their mission is to empower students to succeed beyond the studio.

New Ballet is seeking  mentors of all backgrounds - from college students to professionals - in the Memphis community to serve as volunteer mentors to our students.

Mentors are fully screened and trained by New Ballet Ensemble and the Memphis Grizzlies Foundation. This opportunity works to beneficial to both the mentor and the students, in helping them all grow and learn from each other.

There are two different types of mentoring commitments for those who wish to volunteer:

  • 1:1 | Meeting between 3-8p M-TR | 1 mentor is matched with 1 mentee | Meet for 1 hour, at least 2x/month throughout the school year at the NBE facility.

  • Lunch Buddies at Dunbar Elementary | 1 mentor is matched with 2 mentees at Dunbar Elementary |1 meeting for 30 minutes / week | 10:30a-12:30p during the child's lunch hour.
