Pi Beta Phi is dedicated to philanthropic and community service efforts that will remove the barrier of illiteracy. This is furthered through Pi Phi's partnership with First Book.
This means we support literacy in a number of ways: through unique partnerships with organizations, through financial backings, through club and chapter programming and so much more.
Today's Pi Beta Phi Elementary School is a testament to Pi Phi's dedication to education. The original settlement school facilities later became the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, an internationally renowned visual arts complex, boasting an acclaimed faculty and international student body.
Twice every week, a group of Pi Phi sisters goes to the Easton Area Community Center (EACC) in Easton, Pennslvania. The sisters help with the after school program by assisting children with their reading and writing skills and forming strong bonds with the girls and boys that attend the EACC. We are so lucky to be able to work with these amazing kids and help work towards Pi Beta Phi's national Read. Lead. Achieve initative.
