House of Hope

About

The mission of the House of Hope Community Development Corporation (House of Hope CDC) is to end the personal and social trauma of homelessness. We create affordable housing delivered with life changing services and work with other advocates for policies to ensure that everyone can have a safe, stable home. The Homeless Street Outreach Team, made possible through the Project for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) funding of the Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (RI BHDDH), serves as an example of the many facets of House of Hope CDC’s work within communities and exemplifies our ability to be a catalyst for change.

The House of Hope is the community partner of the Brown University student group Housing Opportunities for People Everywhere (HOPE). Volunteer opportunities are coordinated through HOPE and include street outreach, political advocacy, and direct service.
