Georgia 4-H

About

The University of Georgia 4-H program is the largest youth leadership organization in the state. Georgia 4-H is a unit of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Extension Service and is delivered in all counties in the state. 4-H empowers young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime. This is accomplished through hand-on experiences where adult mentors help youth learn by doing. Youth select from a menu of hands-on projects in areas like science, health, agriculture, and citizenship. This experience grows leaders with life skills like confidence, resilience and curiosity.

Volunteers increase capacity throughout our state by offering more youth programs and supporting more youth opportunities to acquire these crucial skills.  It is our hope that Georgia 4-H will impact our volunteers while also changing the lives of the youth involved.
