Senior Services Programs

About

Lend a helping hand to a Senior in need. Our Senior Services Department has an opportunity for you to make a difference!

Programs available for isolated, low-income seniors:

Adopt-A-Senior - Volunteers are paired with isolated and food-insecure seniors to provide basic needs and companionship (illness calls, food deliveries, etc.)

* Project Hope - This monthly program, taking place on the first Monday of each month, is where volunteers distribute food boxes to low-income seniors at our Guadalupe Community Center

Programs are also available for active seniors interested in serving within their communities:

* Foster Grandparents Program (FGP) - Foster Grandparents are seniors over the age of 55 who provide one-on-one tutoring and/or mentoring at various schools and educational organizations throughout San Antonio

* Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) - RSVP is a volunteer program which recruits and engages seniors over the age of 55 to use their skills, talent and experience to address a wide range of community needs with local non-profits and organizations.

Browse through our Senior Service Programs and select "Become a Member" - in a program/s you'd be interested in serving.
