OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE TRULY THE “HEART OF HOSPICE

An Audubon Hospice volunteer is a specially trained individual who provides assistance to patients, their families, and those experiencing grief. Many volunteers are in the healthcare sector and there is an extensive screening, testing/ training program that prepares our volunteers to provide support and companionship to patients and families. Volunteers do the same kinds of things much like a good neighbor would. Our volunteers are truly the "Heart of Hospice" and they listen, read, provide companionship, and help with things like puzzles, scrapbooks and chores. Volunteers also assist in the office with clerical tasks like. If you would like to join our volunteer staff, contact us at 225-921-5930.
