Girl Scouts Spirit of NE

About

Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska is a strong inclusive organization committed to giving all girls an opportunity to develop their potential--mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially--so that they can be vital citizens, now and in the future. Volunteers are the heart and soul of Girl Scouts. Some ways to get involved include being: council trainers, Girl Scout leaders and co-leaders, mentor leaders, outdoor volunteers (environmental education instructors, canoe experts, nature hikers, orienting people, archery individuals, back packers, outdoor cooks, etc.), and ropes course facilitators. Requirements vary per position. Ropes course facilitators in particular must be 18 years or older, and need to complete a 35-hour training. Hours are flexible, but you may need to change your schedule if it conflicts with the girls'. Approximately 12 volunteers are needed each time. This is an excellent opportunity to work with youth (ages 5-17)! Some training is required.
