The Personal Librarian Program is for incoming transfer students to be partnered with a librarian as a member of a small group of 5 students. The librarian's role will be to connect students to people and resources that can help build their academic and social capital here at UGA. Personal librarians can do things such as provide tours of the libraries and hidden gems on campus, set up experiences and workshops, or just be another friendly face to meet up for coffee. Events will include both formal and informal gatherings of groups to help students connect with one another and our community. At the end of the year, we hope this cohort will find the stress of transitioning to a new institution was reduced, and set them up for success.
