Washington County Extension Water Quality

About

The Cooperative Extension Service faculty and staff provide education for agricultural programs, natural resources and water quality, family financial management, family health, and youth education. Extension personnel partner with many local organizations to provide educational programs that have immediate and practical applications for all segments of our society: youth, families, community, and farmers Arkansas is known as the "Natural State" and is blessed with abundant natural resources including lakes, clear streams, forests, wildlife, rich farm lands, and scenic vistas. Our everyday activities can influence this natural environment in positive and sometimes negative ways. We can manage our natural resources for a variety of uses including timber production, watershed protection, conservation, and wildlife. In many ways, the continued beauty, productivity, and environmental health of our state depends upon how we manage our natural resources.
