Service Learning and Undergraduate Research

Amy McClease

Project name: Mini recipes
For this service learning experience, I picked recipes from foods that I have received from Blazer Kitchen and turned them into recipes such as Tuna & chicken Salad, Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches, Vegetable Soup, and Traditional Salad Mix. All these items are easy to fix and servings last a couple of days when portioned correctly.

This assignment required me to review at least five online educational websites and to pick ones that would benefit the children of Campfire Alabama. The websites that I have written reviews about are ABCmouse, Adventure Academy, Learning Games for Kids, Free Educational Games for Kids, and Duckster Education Site. All of these educational websites offer a variety of subjects, games, curriculum, and grade option. These websites are made to fit children of all ages and their main focus is allowing the children to have fun while learning new topics every day. I feel like this would benefit the children of Campfire Alabama as any child can find something enjoy participating in.
