This volunteer experience was one of my favorites! It was so fun and refreshing to be able to play with kids for a few hours. All the people who worked there were so genuine and sweet as well so it was a great environment to be in.

Met the director and mended a quilt while I was there.

Since this is listed as an open opportunity, I emailed wanting to know more details and to see how they wanted this to work. I let them know that I couldn't start until 1/25 and would be available to start between 9 and 10. I showed up around 9:15, went inside and waited for over an hour to find out the basics of what does and doesn't need sorted. Never saw anyone so I went to my car to call and email to find out what to do.

It was actually a lot of fun. I enjoyed conversing with the lovely people who work there. They are all wonderful people. We had a good routine going with stacking envelopes. We definitely showed teamwork.

It was really fun! Not difficult and everyone was so nice. I would definitely do this again next holiday season!

Was very fun and I thought it was cool to feel like I was actually making a difference by helping put together letters for their biggest fundraiser!

I spent about two hours in the rain pulling weeds from the outdoor playground, but although my fingers and toes were a little bit blue by the end of that, it sure felt great to know I was making someone’s life better. Most of the other tasks were done at this point in the day, but I certainly had plenty to do! I’ll definitely be coming back to FPP next weekend so I can help more!
