This was the last trip of the semester, I think, and it was so much fun! Pulling stalks out of the ground and clearing a whole area is incredibly satisfying, and it’s good to know that we’re helping to clear the ground for the next generation of plants. We also got to take some produce home for Thanksgiving, which is super exciting since I remember planting and harvesting the produce. It was a really proud moment!
Everything we did today was so satisfying! We cleared a flower bed, and then picked the remainder of the peppers before the frost kills them next week. There were so many hidden within the leaves and it always felt like there were even more each time we went back. It was so fun though! I wish I could have done it for longer, and that they weren’t being hurt by the frost. Amazing day!
I never knew sifting dirt could be so satisfying! I did that for most of the day to create a bed for spinach in the greenhouse. It was so fun!!
It was a good workout today. We had to move the compost from the right to the left. Then we had to pull dead sunflowers from the ground to make room for tulips.
It was so amazing to be back in the garden and show all the new people what being in the garden is all about.
