About

Samantha (Sami) Bortz is the Director of The Macoskey Center for Sustainability Education & Research at Slippery Rock University. She earned her Master's of Education in Environmental Education and Master's of Science in Parks & Resources Management from Slippery Rock University. Sami is passionate about student leadership development, sustainability, program development, and social justice. She was formerly a Bonner Leader during her undergraduate years at Allegheny College. As a Bonner Leader, she served at the Meadville Housing Authority and organized afterschool programming for youth.
